 Achieve Health and Wellness offers longer treatment times and schedules to best fit each client's needs. Our Neuro specific model includes offering Intensive Therapy (2-3 hours/day; 5 days/week; 3+ weeks) to gain progress toward individualized goals. Our staff is experienced with medically complex cases and individuals with behavioral/social difficulties. At Achieve, we will do anything in our power to provide a manageable program for each client. 

The standard protocol for Intensive Therapy at Achieve is 2-3 hours per day, five days a week for 3 weeks at both our Apple Valley and Northfield locations. However, each child's sessions and treatment plan are individualized to fit the child's needs and goals. During an Intensive, client's may benefit from different modalities such as the Trexo (gait trainer powered by robotics), Dynamic Movement Intervention, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation, vibration therapy, and the Universal Exercise Unit (Spider Cage) during their PT and OT sessions. 

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a therapeutic technique utilized by Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists to treat gross motor delays by improving automatic postural responses. DMI is appropriate for children with many varying needs from torticollis to genetic disorders to cerebral palsy at any age, even as young as <1 month old! This technique focuses on proper alignment, reflex and sensory integration and forming new neural connections for proper motor function. DMI has its basis in current rehabilitative research, technology and methodology.  

Weekly Therapy or a Traditional weekly OT/PT schedule typically consists of 1-3 visits a week at our Apple Valley or Northfield locations. An individualized treatment plan is created to best support the needs of the client and can consist of both PT and OT sessions.
